Volkswagen T3, otherwise known as T25, Brick, Vanagon, or Wedge, is the third generation model of the Volkswagen Transporter series. It was produced from May 1979 to June 2002, and released under different nameplates in different parts of the world, namely, Caravelle or Transporter in European countries, Microbus in South African regions, and Vanagon in the North and South American continents. The VW T3 features a considerable pace away from the shadow of its predecessor, the VW Type 2, which was also known as the Kombi or Transporter. In a general sense, the succeeding model is bigger and heavier than T2, and its styling is quadrangle, which is in disparity with the rounded style that VW T2 had.

Volkswagen T3 T25 Caravelle, the last of the rear engine VW vans

Prior to purchasing your very first Volkswagen T3, it is advisable that you evaluate your options, and
Continue reading Buying a Volkswagen T3 T25 Van

My first VW
When it comes to driving I was definitely a late starter, whilst all my friends were driving around I was still relying on them for lifts or the good old public transport to get me around. Driving was one of those things that never really interested me. But, after I got my first job learning to drive became a priority – public transport was just too unreliable.

I passed my driving test on my 3rd attempt at the ripe old age of 25! My first car was a VW Polo that my dad sourced out for me from a used VW dealer. It was my first love, a light blue 1995 Polo Match with a dent in the boot. It was a good car to me, never let me down, never needed big repairs and gave me the freedom I never knew I was missing out on!

Classic Cars – Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
The Karmann Ghia was essentially a VW Beetle with a different body shell attached, yet it is considered an elegant sports car. So what constitutes a sports car? For the Karmann Ghia it was all about styling.

In the years following World War II VW had been successfully producing small and efficient automobiles like the Beetle, with a reputation for outstanding reliability. But as time wore on consumers began demanding vehicles with style and elegance, reflecting the changing attitudes at the time. This call was answered by the Karmann Ghia.

The end result however was a car which appealed to 2 very different groups. There were those who wanted a Porsche on a VW budget, and those who wanted a beautiful European touring car that was durable. This was achieved because VW chose to stick to its reliable Beetle chassis, yet covered that Chassis
Continue reading Volkswagen’s Classic Sports Car – Karmann Ghia

Volkswagen Scirocco The Energetic Form Of Golf
HISTORY

Golf coupes were by no means a new idea when this Volkswagen Scirocco was launched in 2008. The first car to carry the Scirocco name (derived from Sirocco, the Italian for wind, if you\'re interested) was launched in 1974 and based around mk1 Golf mechanicals. It was superseded in 1982 by a heavily revamped Scirocco mk2 which shared the same platform. The Scirocco didn\'t disappear from the Volkswagen range until 1988 when the Corrado arrived on the mk2 Golf platform to replace it but when production of that car ceased in 1996, so did the burgeoning dynasty of cars combining Golf basics with coupe bodywork.

Though the Golf GTI models were on hand to satisfy Volkswagen customers looking for something sporty, they have never been cars with the power to transform pedestrians into gawping fools with a simple drive past.
