5th Generation of the Volkswagen Transporter Van 

The Volkswagen Transporter is in its 5th generation, the newest model went into production in 2002. The transporter is VW’s light commercial vehicle, it is also available as a people carrier named the Caravelle.

The VW Transporter is available in many guises including long wheel base, short wheel base, low roof and high roof. The Transporter can also be configured to different uses:

• Panel Van – Delivery van without side windows or rear seats, • High roof Panel Van – Delivery van with raised roof; there is also a third mid-roof height available with the T5, between the two traditional ones, • Half-panel – Van with side windows only in the front half of the cargo area, and only one row of removable rear seats, • Pick-up – Flatbed truck, also available with wider load bed, • Crew
